The word basil comes from the Greek, βασιλεύς which means king. According to some histories, the herb was originally found to have been growing over the place St. Constantine and Helena found a piece of the True Cross.

Beginning: Dark chocolate, hints of butter, nutty sweetness in the ganache
Middle: Rich creaminess, additional notes of pistachio sweetness withh the underying complexity of cream and herb. Crushed pistachio adds texture.
Finish: Fairly short, with the dark chocolate 'catching up' to the pistachio. Basil notes increase, then fall back into the ganache.
