The Lingia estate is the best in Darjeeling. This 2nd flush tea is extremely rare with a delicate refined muscatel character. Annually, the estate only produces 800 kilos of this grade.
The Darjeeling region in north central India grows tea that exhibit a unique flavor best described as muscatel but with a fairly light liquoring cup. The tea producing regions of Sikkim and Nepal are very close to Darjeeling and subsequently their teas are similar in taste and cup appearance. Nilgiri teas grow at high altitudes and in very rich soil producing bright liquoring cups that have unique floral-like flavor with medium body.
