During
warm weather periods we do not ship orders containing chocolate to
APO, FPO, Guam or foreign (excluding Canada) addresses. Shipments
to PO Boxes can NOT be guaranteed.
If you are purchasing hot chocolate, tea products, or any product that is not made of chocolate, this does
NOT apply to you.
If
you live in one of the southern or coastal states (CA, AZ, NM,
TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, TN), we strongly recommend that: you select the
Overnight Air shipping.
If
you live anywhere else in the US or Canada, we recommend that:
you select 2nd Day Air.
If
you elect to ship by FedEX ground or USPS Parcel Post, even with
the gel pack option, we can NOT guarantee your chocolate products
will arrive in proper condition.
Regardless
of shipping method, gel packs will be included with your order.
If
you live in one of the southern or coastal states (CA, AZ, NM,
TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, VA, NC, SC), and do not select Overnight Air shipping,
we will add gel packs to your order. The cost is $7.50.
If
you live anywhere else in the US or Canada, and you do not select
2nd Day Air, we will ad gel packs to your order. The cost is $5.00
US
residents selecting USPS Priority Post and Canadian
residents purchasing the Express Post option will have gel packs added
to their order. The cost is $5.00

Shipping Days
We
will only ship these items on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday so your
items will not be in transit over the weekend. Therefore, we cannot
guarantee Monday deliveries. (Overnight shipments will be shipped
on Thursday). (Friday overnight shipments can only be shipped if you
pay for a Saturday delivery). (Federal Express only delivers
on Saturday if you have paid for a Saturday delivery. Please keep
this in mind so you chocolate is not in transit over the weekend.)
The above does not apply to non-chocolate items; including our hot
chocolate items.

Shipping Hints
Choose
a shipping address where someone will definitely be there to accept
the package. Consider shipping to your work place. Since we ship for
signature on receipt, the shipper you selected will not leave the
package at your door. FedEX sometimes takes 3-days to ship 2-day packages;
United States Post Office (USPS) sometimes takes 5 days to ship a
2-3 day package; therefore, a person should be there to accept the
package for a day past when it is expected. If the package needs to
be redelivered due to someone not being there on the delivery date,
we can NOT be responsible for the condition of the chocolate
Chocolate's
melting point is about 100 F (36 C) although softening occurs
at about around 80 F (26 C). Given chocolate's reaction to warmth
and heat, special care must be taken when shipping chocolate during
the summer months. Warm weather shipping is required above 75 F.
Consider
ordering more product as shipping costs become more reasonable
per box. Talk to friends and family to see about combining an order.
Truffles,
which contain cream and butter, are highly susceptible to warm weather
transport. We highly recommend that you ship them overnight and put
gel packs in to ensure your truffles arrive in good order.

and our hot chocolates are still available via our normal shipping
options. They do NOT require special shipping conditions. Indicate
